If you're a camper, there is a Maryland State Park and a National Park on the island. Don't forget your insect repellent. (Lots of mosquitoes!) Also bring your sunscreen ... there are no trees, ergo no shade!
The Chicoteague Volunteer Fire Company rounds up about 150 ponies from the island every July for their Pony Swim and auction. You can take one home!
