"The Wednesday Feature" Vol. 2, No. 3

The Wednesday Feature for the week of Wednesday September 13 to Wednesday September 20.

Last night I went to University of Maryland to see Boister perform at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. In addition to their own original material, Anne Watts performed memorable versions of an Edith Piaf song and Jacques Brel's Ne Me Quitte Pas. On a personal note, it was good to see trombone player Craig Considine again. I have great memories of listening to Craig and some other friends play great jazz at the Peabody Book Shop and Beer Stube nearly thirty years ago. Sadly, that establishment became a parking lot in 1999. All good things come to an end .... ne me quitte pas ...

Baltimore Museum of Art and Walters Art Museum have announced year-round FREE admission for everyone beginning October 1st.

This weekend Marcia Ball performs the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. on Saturday but poor bloggers like you and me can catch her on Sunday at the Harford Music Festival. Peter Rowan and Tony Rice will be there too!
